Why go public with the letter, but then keep the wrongdoer's name secret?

Identify the sender.

Ensuring there are zero consequences for this unacceptable behavior by keeping their name secret only emboldens these cowards to do this type of thing over and over again.

Sometimes just the threat of a being socially shamed is all you need. This was from a very small town and dragging someone out to be publicly shamed can have some very long lasting consequences. The article said they apologized to the owner which I guess they felt was good enough.

Completely unacceptable. If this situation was reversed the person would be instantly fired/canceled for attacking Biden. They need to be made an example of so this crap stops happening.
