Notorious ACB

Oh man, I work with a chick who straight lost her shit when someone referred to Amy Coney Barrett as 'Notorious ACB'.

Apparently it's racist, because cultural appropriation and stuff, and something about how it's disrespectful to black culture for not being more sensitive to the fact that Biggie died.....or something.

These people are absolutely insane.

88
Astonedewok 88 points ago +89 / -1

The chick you work with is probably the same chick that wears thick framed glasses, with a huge schnoz, and wears a “Notorious RBG” t shirt

Isn't "Notorious RBG" a really popular nickname for Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the left?

I wonder how sheltered her childhood was. My friends at school and I regularly used words and called each other names that adults didn't want us to; and when we got offended we'd either get into a scrap or just deal with it.

6
Wtf_socialismreally 6 points ago +6 / -0

The left doesn't realize that no one likes being called names, but contrary to their understanding we have the power to choose not to care, and choose how much we let it bug us.

The solution isn't to attack anyone who's a dick.

22
TheImpossible1 22 points ago +26 / -4

You can't seriously pin the issue on men.

The state needs to recognize that biology has been mostly usurped by medical advances and take the side of the man, who has far less ways (which are also less effective) to protect himself compared to women.

26
daberoniandcheese 26 points ago +26 / -0

It’s all of our responsibility. Men and women. Our sexual culture is so sick and perverse that it has led to killing children to preserve it.

It’s on all of us to correct it. We all have to take responsibility.

7

9
deleted 9 points ago +9 / -0
3
TheImpossible1 3 points ago +5 / -2

This is entirely backwards though. It used to be on men to prevent a pregnancy, but now, with the lack of any advances to help men in that situation and the many advances made for women, there's no reason a man should be held responsible for a child he didn't want to have.

Women have 10 options, men have one, and it's prone to sabotage.

8
Whereami 8 points ago +9 / -1

To be honest, men must be stronger and not bring a child into the world he isn’t willing to raise.

13

100
IPMang 100 points ago +100 / -0

I think what I'm learning is that to be considered a far-right supreme court justice, all you have to do is be impartial, aka not be a liberal activist judge.

That's it.

27
DoubleTrumpPumpBump 27 points ago +27 / -0

Bingo.

17
Miserable_company 17 points ago +17 / -0

There’s actually no formal requirements. POTUS can nominate anyone he wants. The relatively recent trend of making hardcore opposes when getting them confirmed creates de facto requirements.

2
Wtf_socialismreally 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's kind of why I feel the senate shouldn't have a voice on this.

Yes, that comes back to bite us someday too, but it is the leader of executive's duty to appoint and it should solely go to them.

4
Miserable_company 4 points ago +4 / -0

I don’t mind it in principle as a check and balance, but with the current environment and villainy of Leftists, it’s creating problems for sure.

13

Not like the Kavanaugh hearings, no.

But, attacking someones faith and harassing them with straw-man arguments belittling and intentionally misinterpreting their religious views absolutely IS a personal attack.

These assholes would be rioting in the streets if a muslim like Omar was being raked through the coals because of her religion. But hey, she's Christian, so it's cool.

19
MainstreamDeviant 19 points ago +19 / -0

I’d be rioting in the streets if a Muslim was up for nomination to the highest court in the land.

8
Wtf_socialismreally 8 points ago +8 / -0

Yeah, but the religions of capital G God hasn't romped around in a crusade in so many years.

The same is unable to be said for Islam. Every war is a holy war. Every death is a plus in their eyes. All of their tenets can be overrode in certain circumstances under taqiyya.

Very different than Christianity, Catholicism or Judaism.

I'd trust a Scientologist more than I'd trust an Islamist.

6
MainstreamDeviant 6 points ago +6 / -0

taqiyya

Is that like a breakfast burrito or some shit?

2
Wtf_socialismreally 2 points ago +2 / -0

5

4

Reasonably, rational adults knew it was a flimy accusation, the only proof being her word, which was plainly coached and scripted.

She was a college student before colleges were communist indoctrination centres.... and boy was that a LONG time ago! :D

6
_molon_labe_ 6 points ago +6 / -0

That's absolutely not true.

Communist academics of the Frankfurt school were basically ran out of Germany by the Nazis in the 30s. Many of them went to California, specifically to Berkeley. Berkeley even still has a Frankfurt school group as part of their Humanities center.

The spread of communism began in Berkeley, spread through all of California (including Hollywood,) and throughout Academia in the 1930s. They were very entrenched by the 1950s, which was why McCarthy was rooting them out during that decade.

Andrew Breitbart (RIP) talked extensively about this in his book.

Not trying to be combative pede, just educating. Marxism in academia was extremely prevalent in the 50s.

The Democrats are so screwed. They can't attack her like they did Kavanaugh. All they can do is use their time for political grandstanding, at which point anyone watching just tunes out.

24
FireannDireach 24 points ago +24 / -0

The character witnesses is where they'll probably attack her. Like they did with Thomas - they'll bring in someone she used to work with who will claim all kinds of stupid bullshit.

I’m curious as to how my liberal law professor friends and appellate law colleagues are going to critique ACB based on her responses here. I coach appellate advocacy teams with a lot of liberal professors and lawyers and if one of our students gave answers like ACB we would say that their performance was outstanding and the answers well-reasoned and based on the law. But I’ll bet the TDS will blind their objectivity about her nevertheless.

I know he gets hate here but another I enjoy listening answer tough questions is Barr. It’s impressive his recall at his age. But ACB has blown me away. It actually has me thinking that I’m not sure a man can match a brilliant woman’s ability not impose themselves into their judgement and make such informed judgements on the law at the same time. Its probably that the women close to me are strict rule followers while I’m a constant rule bender. Maybe I’m not explaining it well- but she is very impressive.

I’ve noticed here even in SC, more and more Protestant denominations have pastors drinking beer. In the Methodist church, I know several groups that have bible study and beers. One pastor does a weekly singo at a tap house which is just beer with congregation members. Another elder pastor at a Methodist church had a son open a beer garden and can be found with beer in hand. I’m not saying acting a fool by any means, but it seems more lax now- maybe with the growth of craft beer and removing the stigma of whisky and Budweisers in smoky bars.

Klobuchar couldn't judge a pie-eating contest.

3

Would have loved for Trump to have said she’s on the list and then after a bit said “just kidding”.

33

Ted Cruz has such a quick mind, I really like that about him. Chances are he didn't know that Whitehouse was going to go into the land of make believe, but the fact that Lion Ted is able to articulate his counter-points so well is real nice to see.

Cruz 2024??

5

Cruz has really changed from four years ago. He's now become a favorite of mine.

2
Strike_Eagle784 2 points ago +2 / -0

I second this.

3
ItsOkToMAGA 3 points ago +3 / -0

Cruz is my sleeper hero in DC right now. Whenever he speaks up I become erect.

2
Strike_Eagle784 2 points ago +2 / -0

He's so on it, I've said this on here before, but Texas should feel damn proud to have someone as awesome as Cruz representing them!

3
ItsOkToMAGA 3 points ago +3 / -0

I wish my state had a power house like him. We are mostly red, but our leadership is nothing like him.

33
MisterKag 33 points ago +33 / -0

Bear in mind that this pick is 10x as important as Kavanaugh was. It shifts the Court's balance dramatically to the conservative end.

The other side is not done with fighting this. They won't slink off with the Q/A results. There is too much at stake.

Expect stunts and outside smears and even violent protests in DC.

This is a battle for the entire federal judiciary now. We're winning.

I suspect we see PDJT go scorched earth on all fronts after this election.

There is a report out today that Haspel was part of the coup, and is still a big problem.

Scorched earth.

1
WhiteLash 1 point ago +1 / -0

He’d be a fool to not go scorched Earth the people are on HIS side and the deep state has gone all out even so far as to give him and his wife COVID and try to run multiple coups on him. He knows they will definitely kill him in office or out of office and he can’t just return to a life of peace afterwards. He’s our guy and he’s blessed by God no doubt to carry the sword. We have to slay the dragon. Defund the media would be a great start.

2
MisterKag 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't know how he defunds the media.

But Section 230 protection removal, overturning NYT v. Sullivan, and reinstatement of Smith-Mundt would be VERY effective first steps.

Suing the media into responsibility would at least follow.

We don't get the media fully back until we get the schools back. One feeds the other.

THE MEDIA IS THE GREATEST THREAT TO AMERICA NOW. They have 40% of the population brainwashed.

1
sun_wolf 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think we might be able to dismantle the media by connecting them to the CCP. Then it becomes an issue of national security.

32
salvecitizen 32 points ago +32 / -0

Friends, this is going to be a cakewalk now. She dispatched Dianne with ease. The Dems have five creepy old men coming up, and Klobuchar, idiot Maxie, and the remote Witch. I'm going to get some work done.

Enjoy this blowout victory!

I've been putting my eggs in my basket with ACB today. I've been watching since 11:00 AM lol.

Edit: More like listening, since I have this on the background while I'm working at home.

I'll make sure to watch the highlights later!

orthodoxvirginian 31 points ago +31 / -0

Just wanted to make a comment that ACB has essentially finished the redpilling of my stepdaughter. My 22 year-old stepdaughter is Hispanic.

Dad is serving our country in the Navy and a Republican.

Mom (my wife) is a lifelong conservative, but was registered as Dem at like age 19 without knowing anything, yet voted for Republicans most of the time for president. Now my wife is 100% Pro-Trump. (BTW, anyone thinking the GOP won't win future national elections because of Hispanics doesn't know people like my wife. She has been actively evangelizing her family and friends non-stop this year, and has scored multiple "conversions." Hispanics are naturally conservative, but just need to be more informed). Initially, family blasted me, accusing me of brainwashing her (since I am White). She clarified that she is able to think for herself. :P

So anyway, sorry for the long-windiness (as is a trademark of my posts lol), by my stepdaughter graduated from a university here in our state, and was influenced by 3rd wave feminism and all that BS. She has remained conservative, but voted for Clinton in 2016 while Republican for everything else. The past 4 years, I have been trying to sway her "all the way." Finally, after she moved back after graduating, we have been working on her.

Well, this ACB stuff is what set her over the edge. She is an imminently fair-minded person, sees how other women are treating ACB, sees the attacks on the Catholic faith, and is like screw these people.

She is at least not voting for Biden now. I am praying she will vote Trump. I did the thing where I personally asked her to vote for Trump to save our family (that tax cut helped us big time) and our country. She is almost there.

Dems are really overreaching with this ACB attack s**t.

9
Ex-libtard 9 points ago +9 / -0

Sounds like a wonderful family you got there

2
orthodoxvirginian 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thank you! As a religious person, I consider myself deeply blessed. For those not religious, I suppose you could say I am pretty fortunate/lucky, although I do have to say that I put a lot of hard work into crafting a stable, happy family (divorce and blended family and all that jazz). I guess I see life sort of like Blackjack. There are always going to be cards you didn't expect, but with planning, discipline, and experience, you can improve your odds of winning.

1
Ex-libtard 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm an atheist. But still respect your family and religion and I commend you on pursuing and making your own happiness.

She's not perfect but she might be the best he can get through before the election.

Amy Barrett: "The original meaning of the second amendment does support the idea that governments are free to keep guns out of the hands of the dangerous. So for example the mentally ill, others who are likely to misuse guns."

I look back at idiots like Ben Shapiro who said (and I quote) "that Hillary will not be any worse than Trump on SCOTUS" and I seriously wonder how the heck he has ANYONE still listening to him.

Sure, he allegedly supports Trump now (although he gets digs in at him whenever and wherever he can), but that guy and his sites like Daily Caller and podcasts should be completely ignored/dismissed.

✅ Multiple time convicted felon

✅ In possession and under the influence of multiple illicit substances

✅ Had just been caught tendering counterfeit cash

✅ Resisted arrest

✅ Began to suffer from fentanyl overdose when the heroes of law enforcement recognized his distress and summoned an ambulance

✅ Despite life saving measures at the hospital, Floyd succombed to the deadly effects of the illegal drugs he was selling.

What part of this has anything to do with the SCOTUS?
