Not right now. Cruz is explaining that right now. Being activist is an ethical thing in a nomination procedure. This is about votes, not what opinions she'll deliver sitting on the bench.

Her going middle of the road and non-partial is what she needs to do right now. You WANT her to stand up and shout "From my cold dead fingers, motherfuckers!" but now is not the time for that. This is politics. They have to bamboozle and bullshit to get the fence sitter votes. If she went all in on any of these topics, that's handing the losing votes to the Dems.

She did good. She's not gonna come out and say "Hell yeah baby! Free guns for everyone! Get rid of the NFA! Silencers shouldn't be taxed. etc. etc"

She gave a very good answer

I think that’s what she was going for and I think she’s smart enough not to make a comment the media will pick up and misinterpret and use as a sound bite.

Yeah, the 2A is there to protect us against a government that goes tyrannical. Pretty simple.

The Founders gave us the same method to correct wrongdoing that they did themselves to be able to craft the Constitution in the first place. That's the #1 reason the 2nd must never be amended, and needs to be defined to where there is no debate - we have the right to defend ourselves, even if it's from the government.

Technically she answered on the right to bear arms , not the right to form a militia which could be interpreted as the part against being tyrannical, I know that is legal mumbo jumbo, but that is how lawyers and judges interpret the words

It's worth keeping one's eyes open for any signs of her being another Justice Roberts, though.

After her somewhat endorsement of blm months ago.... I wish Trump picked someone else, she just comes across as someone who will flip on issues when there's any public pressure
