I run into this same problem. It’s not that they (actually) have a major problem with that comment , it’s that’s the ONLY thing they can point to on him. They have No problem with Obama bombing everyone out of country that disagreed with him, including many Americans that were “collateral damage”. It’s funny all they can come up with was some guy talk exaggeration in a private conversation from 13 years ago.
