I daresay local elections can sometimes be MORE important than national elections.
Take, for instance, where I live vs. a liberal city like NYC...We have had zero mask mandates, zero hiding in our homes, our schools have not closed (and students do not have to wear masks, ever), and there certainly are zero riots here. (Everyone here would shoot them, and the county sheriff would gladly deputize everyone here to do so with full authorization.)
