Man, I went to Highschool on Maui and I can remember at least 50 instances where I was randomly assaulted and forced to defend myself just because I was a 'fuckin haole' with a southern accent who didn't speak pidgin. I did meet alot of good people there but the blatant prejudice towards white people is real and unavoidable if you live there.
Unfortunately if you're not in a private school or affluent neighborhood in Hawaii that is what happens. Feel your pain brother. Glad you made it out of pidgen land okay.
