i do too, but how are you going to ever deport them when they probably have 'legal' kids who are citizens here and have never been in the country you want to deport the parents to? think about all the political and media opposition there would be to this. you'd never get away with it. the republican party would fight you tooth and nail and they wouldn't give you anything, no judges, no other appointments, NOTHING. that's the reality we're in.

That is a problem, but it really irritates me. If someone robs banks, and then gets caught, do their kids get to keep the money because they're accustomed to that lifestyle? If someone's here illegally, then their kids should not be citizens, and the whole family should be sent back to wherever the parents are from. No, it won't be nice for the kids, but that's the fault of their criminal parents for putting them in that position. Even if it's not possible to remove the kids "citizenship" they should still go with their parents. Once they're of age, they can chose to come back to the US if they want, but the parents cannot. Tough luck, quit breaking the law. Slinking over the border, popping out a kid, and then claiming you have to stay because you had a kid is ridiculous. Boot them all out and make them fix their own crummy country.

yeah we should boot them all out but legally how would we do that? the anchor baby laws have already been put in place. legally, they are legal. and they aren't citizens of some other country because they've never been there, so what legal basis would we have for dumping them in that country now? ideally yeah, do it. but we can't. and no RINO would allow even a discussion about anything approaching that. they wouldn't even allow sending their parents back. and what would we do with the kids without parents?

Oh I know it's just wishful thinking, everyone just sits down and cries crocodile tears at the thought of making illegal aliens leave. That does actually raise the question though - why aren't the kids automatically citizens of their parent's countries? I mean, isn't our "birthright citizenship" thing kind of unusual? Generally, a child born on foreign soil will not be a citizen of that country, only of their parents' country. Legally, shouldn't the Chinese, Mexican, Guatemalan, etc. children born here be citizens of their parents countries?
