Well, if you go back 4 years ago, the hardcore party infighting had just begun post Trumps win. Do recall when Pelosi was not a truly transparent progressive blowhard, she actively was trying to wrangle "the gang of 4" or w/e AOC Ohmar's group was, into compliance with how the House would vote, etc. BLM and George Floyd was basically the cliff Pelosi dove off of before bowing to every whim of this new, Marxist Democrat party.

I think it's because of this infighting that they had a severely fractured primary, a Bernie 2.0 collapse with Joe as the elite's anointed one, and then a backtracked compromise yet again to the extremists in the DNC with the Kamala decision as VP.

When you don't have party unity, you get mismatched candidates and a severe lack of good leadership. On the other side, Trump whipped the absolute shit out of Never Trumpers and GOPe retards, forcing them to either get with it or get lost. THAT's how you get party unity the correct way instead of the horseshit Ryan and Mitt tried to do for years.

Note that it wasn't just those four. AOC only got the house because of a bunch of leftist whackjobs. If it was just the 4 horse(faced)women, Pelosi could ignore them, but the 2018 election put leftists in all over which gave her her majority. That was the problem she had to deal with.
