The shooter was pulling his gun out even before the victim raised his mace. This video shows me that the victim was trying to protect himself and stop/deter the guy from using his gun. There is no way any reasonable person would see this as the shooter being threatened. The fact that they were quick to say things like "he saved my life" seems to indicate that this was planned or at least somewhat coordinated since the video shows that nobody was being threatened. Straight-up murder.
Some of the missing frames from the Denver Post photographer have been released. One shows Dolloff(shooter) with his shirt all the way up, hand on pistol, in clear view of Lee(deceased). At this time the mace can is still pointed down where it had been the whole time. Dolloff was in mid draw before Lee ever raised the mace. Having almost no time to react Lee did the only thing he could think of to protect himself, spray the mace. But he was sadly dead before he even got started. No mace ever contacted Dolloff or the producer.
You are correct about the scripted responses as well. Everything said after the shooting seemed rehearsed and despite the high stress situation came out with ease. Almost like they practiced it many times. None of them showed genuine emotion or shock. Imagine you just killed a man, you would be freaking out, cussing, panic in your voice, ect. None of this was present. Instead they went right for the canned responses. "9News security" "He saved my life" "I am press".
He is a known violent agitator. He is the same guy who started the fight at the Bernie rally and has been seen starting fights at other events. It is speculation he does it working with local news photographers so they can get clear photos of fights breaking out.
Quote from 9News producer, obviously a rehearsed load of bullshit.
Yikes. So the press guy is suggesting the deceased was an imminent threat to his life? This is highly disturbing
