If you look at any FBI reports from 2001-2007 Eco-Terrorists were the biggest home land threat. Thats when the anarchists were burning Hummer dealerships to fight the excesses of capitalism in the name of the environment.

But for some 'unknown reason', after 2008, the FBI stopped looking at leftist violence, and started investigating bs like 'are returning soldiers white supremacists' starting the division in this country.
I wonder what happened in 2008 that could explain that...
good summary. It is interesting that the Globalist Dems and Repubs start wars and patriot soldiers return home year after year. They then wonder why men (and women) with guns get pissed off to see the country they risked their lives for put up Presidential candidates that are dangerous and embarrassing.
I used to read those. Before that time period it was always left wing terrorists. During this time period and to this day, the FBI claimed right wing domestic terrorists were the biggest threat despite all the Islamic terrorist attacks that were going on all around us.
Political organizations love to play with definitions to suit their needs.
I read a "think tank" piece on STEM education for minorities. They cited lower performance outcomes among "minorities," which meant black and Hispanic children. Of all ethnicities, these were the two lowest-performing (lower scores = more money to fix problem)
In the very next paragraph, the one requesting funding based on minority populations, the definition of "minorities" was expanded to include Asians (more people = more money). Asians were the highest-performing, so they didn't suit the narrative of "low scores" from minorities)
So they changed the definition to suit the statistic they were pushing. Minimize scores, maximize cash. They're sneaky bastards, and you have to read/listen very carefully.
I think they lump together Latino gangs into the "white" category to make the claim that white violent groups are the biggest threat.
