All this "Divisive" and "Racist" talk... meanwhile, Trump is building the largest consensus of all time, spanning races, cultures, and even political parties.
I've been reading GK Chesterton lately, and he talks about philosophies and religions that try so hard to be inclusive that they no longer offer anything to actually be included in.
Consider the Coexist bumper sticker. Is this what binds us together as a nation? Mere coexistence? Its easy to be inclusive when you offer nothing of substance to bond people together. It's as if someone were standing outside complaining that they weren't allowed in, and the Left's solution was to knock down the house. Anyone can be an "American" when America doesn't stand for anything or mean anything.
Trump and the MAGA movement are divisive because they offer something real: shared language, shared culture, share vision for America. This is the sort of thing that creates real bonds of brotherhood, friendship, and community. The more substantial it is, however, the more exclusive it will be to those that don't share the vision.
