Huh, didn't know that. I recall trying an option that was similar but relied on an MP3 stream already being extant in the youtube media sources and would just fail if there wasn't one.
I pretty much threw this script together in like an hour to semi-automate the metadata tagging with the download+transcode workflow I was already using, since plugging all the data in with a tag editor was a pain in the ass and my shitty MP3 player needs tag data to be even remotely useful.

Yeah, that makes sense to automate. I haven't looked to see if youtube-dl has any options for doing that automatically.
