The FBI is not the CIA, there is no national security reasons for FBI agents to remain covert if thier principle duty is not undercover work.

Since the FBI is a government agency, their employees are actually public record.

Subpoenas like that are public record and show the agent's name on it so it can go onto the record of chain of custody.
