My theory is that he told someone he sent his laptop to a regular techie, then that someone who has a brain flipped out. That's when they asked Hunter if the techie knew who he was. Hunter forgot he signed, said no, and they moved on nervously.
Fast forward to Rudy cackling in his home office on the phone with whoever the techie contacted.
I got a better one, I think.
Hunter wasn't just smoking crack out of that pipe he was smoking meth.
He probably decided he needed the data off the damaged computer during a manic meth bender. He then crashed for a few days to recover, woke up and had no recollection of the event ever taking place.
We already know he is dodging child support payments and God knows what else so my guess is Hunter doesn't return a ton of calls.
