Twitter is/was a huge scam that only exists because of the media. It was nothing, it had one of the smallest user bases on the internet, but CNN and MSNPC just kept quoting it.

They created a false sense of superiority for the most worthless social media platform, and then set the expectation for pedowood and politicians that "If you want to be heard, you better be on twitter."

After more than a year of this Twitter rose to a more sustainable population as all the 'fans' realized they could digitally stalk all their favorite stars. Even then it was failing company with constant profit loss until Obama started tweeting and the media started covering "muh most transparent president ever" and Twitter experienced a mild growth surge for all the same reasons as above.

So for the last ten years or so, the only value has been for Digital Stalkers, and for the 100% media created preconception that "You aren't a real person without a twitter account."

True, I signed on Twitter right at the beginning and completely forgot about it for years, back then people where Twitting about food and their toilet visits. I use it for financial news and using tweetdeck so I never see recommendations or trends and the people I follow are very based, but outside of that bubble is terrible.
