And who decides to pursue anti-trust?

The people on the committees who, as of yesterday, have sent inquiry letters to both Facebook and Twitter. Time will tell if it's real or just election year blustering.

LETTERS WERE SENT

Normally, I'd be on the sarcastic train right with you, but these aren't those typical "you did something wrong and we're mad" impotent letters. These are letters that initiate discovery leading into some sort of hearing. They're a bit different than the do-nothing letters we're used to, so I'm cautiously optimistic.

DoD pede here... we have a saying "moving at the speed of Government" to describe how long the bureaucracy takes to get anything done in government. While I share your skepticism that this will go anywhere, if it is going anywhere, it's moving at the speed of Government.

Has any executive ever got in legal trouble after a senate hearing?

At this point if I had to choose between them, I'd rather get relief in how the companies are run than see someone perp-walked. If they don't fix how the companies are run, the next person to come in will just do the same thing, and all we would have gotten is a temporary satisfaction watching one person go be prosecuted.

Incorrect.

Antitrust is pursued by the Department of Justice.

Now, I'll ask again, how come nothing happens?

You're right antitrust is litigated by DOJ, but I think antitrust is just one aspect that they're going after. I could be wrong, but that's my read of the situation and is why multiple groups are gearing into action. Here's hoping it's all not just election-time blustering that gets conveniently forgotten on Nov 4.

My point was -- the DOJ is really the department of injustice.

The inactivity under Barr and his predecessors is handing over Orwellian type power to companies filled with completely imbalanced people, most of which don't believe in America and are happy to wipe their ass with the Constitution.

It's another failure of Barr. No other way to see it or say it.

I've been blackpilled on Barr. I'll admit that I was one of the ones he tricked at the beginning because of the irreverance he showed the Dims (clearly a setup) and the big talk of how he was going to clean up. But after the number of "no wrongdoing found" investigation results that are coming out now, he's clearly a complete failure.
