Normally, I'd be on the sarcastic train right with you, but these aren't those typical "you did something wrong and we're mad" impotent letters. These are letters that initiate discovery leading into some sort of hearing. They're a bit different than the do-nothing letters we're used to, so I'm cautiously optimistic.
DoD pede here... we have a saying "moving at the speed of Government" to describe how long the bureaucracy takes to get anything done in government. While I share your skepticism that this will go anywhere, if it is going anywhere, it's moving at the speed of Government.
