This is why Trump has quietly stood by and taken it on the chin for months now. He's let the DNC play every card they have, drop every pathetic "bombshell" they could think of, and seemed to be doing nothing. Because he knew the whole time that he was holding, amusingly, the trump card.

He wanted to let them exhaust themselves, burn everything they had, before he released it, so the story couldn't be buried by the dems releasing an anemic counter-surprise about him.

It was political rope-a-dope.
