The Democrats got to perform for the camera and recite their election pitches to an audience of millions and put up wall to wall posters of sad, sad looking people who will surely die instantly if Trump is reelected. They got to do this all week.

Of course they are happy. They knew from before the hearing even started they could not stop the nomination so they are just thanking Chief Swamprat Graham for allowing them the opportunity to grandstand.
