You don't have to change your party to vote for president. It's usually done for being able to vote in the primary where they have different ballots based on party.
If Florida doesn't work like that, then most people won't bother changing their party registration.

Yep. In Florida, you can only vote your party for the primary.

in florida, the home of retirees everywhere, it's easy to assume that 200,000 of the registered dems passed away between 2016 and now.

ugh.. 200,000 more votes for the dems. Still won't be enough to beat Trump.

Is this good or bad?

The registration gap shifted 200k registrations to the republic side since 2016. That is good for Trump’s chances in Florida.

Good. Republicans gained a net 200k registered voters over Dems compared to 2016

I think a good number of people registered Democrat are people who registered in college or when otherwise younger and never bothered to re-register. We've increased our advantage.

Scott Presler said the other day that Demonrats have a 900K to 400K (approx.) advantage in early voting in Florida though. But he didn't sound concerned cause it's early and Florida Republicans like to vote on election day. FLORIDIANS: please Vote! Trump must win the Great State of Florida.

look at the independents and the NPAs. Still I can't believe there are more registered communists in FL than republicans. That is not good.

we need to show up and VOTE.
