My computer age started 56 years ago.
First computer I used was a Burroughs B5000 -- in 1964.
And only 3 TV channels back then!!!!
Right now I have 7 tabs open on my browser!!
I love it! My love affair with computers started with my cousins commodore 64. Then I traveled 6 hours by car in the early 80's just to play with my older brother's college main frame computer for a few hours. There was an X's and 0's a Star Trek game called Super Trek. OMG what memories.
The B5000 was a batch mainframe at Stanford computer lab -- not my own!!!
Worked as a FORTRAN programmer on Surveyor Lunar Lander from '65 to '67, then Project Corona (1st spy satellite) -- and 35 years in real-time software -- was writing UNIX device drivers in C back in '78.
Lots of great memories -- while I was working on Surveyor at Hughes Space Systems during grad school at UCLA, my brother-in-law was working at North American on Apollo. Later we (at Fischer & Porter) were P. J. Plauger's first customer when he started Whitesmiths in 1978 -- first commercial C compiler.
a lot easier in the computer age than it was years ago.

WOW, you were there at the very start. That's great, you must have many great memories. I hope you invested in the field and made a fortune.
