Year 2000: I was a normal college kid at a liberal college, hating on Bush and hoping for Gore to win. I was hooked on cable news because I was out on my own and split cable with my roommate, never had it growing up. I happened to bring up the election to my mother on the phone and she said something to the tune of "you know, both sides are bad, Democrat and Republican." I had never heard this before, the media and my college was nonstop "Dem good, Repub bad."

I didn't think much of it at the time but when I actually went to the voting booth and saw the name Al Gore, I remembered what my mother had said and at that moment I questioned whether I really wanted my first vote to be for this guy. I couldn't do it, and chose a rando down the ballot instead.

Year 2004: Still at college, now at this point Bush is completely evil and incompetent. Overseeing 9/11, starting wars, horrible advisors, etc. Everything they said about him came true and more. I hated Bush. The opposition this time around was John Kerry, certainly this man would be worthy of my vote.

I wanted to like Kerry and planned to vote for "anyone but Bush." I remember Kerry saying he had a plan to fix this, a plan to fix that. I didn't know what the plan was but I believed him at face value. Then, on some MTV town hall I watched in my dorm, there was one tiny moment of truth and I have no idea how it got through. A young person brought up the point of how "wishy washy" Kerry was with his "plans" and that he wished Kerry would have more substance in detailing these plans.

Literally everyone in this town hall nodded and was mumbling "true, true" under their breath. This was all I needed to see and hear. It just took one TINY moment of truth for a college leftist to see through the bullshit. I did not end up voting.

In 2007/2008, I discovered Ron Paul and the rest was history.

I implore you, my Pedes. If you know anyone who is not MAGA, offer a tiny red pill. Just a little something to get his or her mind working. The left requires 100% submission because ANYTHING other than their bullshit can get people thinking for themselves. You don't need to go all-in, just give a little something to put a crack in the windshield.

As Hunter Biden once said: once cracked, there's no going back.

Ron Paul was my red pill too. I still share ideals with the Tea Party Republicans. MAGA!

Awesome story and I agree about a tiny sliver of redpill working its magic. Red pill is a choice. People have to choose it, it cant be forced (unless you are on your way in the cattle cars). I considered myself very smart and open minded, but took me much longer than you to get redpilled. Dont forget to thank your mum for putting you on the right path!
