The press is not for the people, rather to shape public opinion for the elite they answer to and serve. It is not you they fear, but it is you they hate.

Here are some warnings from nearly 100 years ago.

"They talk about press freedom, when in fact all these newspapers have one owner and the owner, in any case, is the sponsor. This press then shapes public opinion. These political parties don't have any differences at all... "

".. It is a small rootless international clique that is turning the people against each other, that does not want them to have peace..."

Serioulsy, Soviets at their worst would just mercifully shoot you before lowering themselves to the kind of psychotic gas-lighting lies I now see from the media on a weekly basis.

Sean Ono Lennon is a friend of Eric Weinstein of Thiel. Eric is the brother of Bret of Evergreen fame. They all make statements which indicate that they don't like what is going on in the Left, and yet they all appear to have a case of severe TDS. How can such smart people be so very very stupid as to not recognize who it is that is trying to help our civilization stay intact?

Not sure if that qualifies as proving he doesn't have TDS, but at least he appears to be slowly approaching consciousness of what is happening, and that is the stage before the final red-pilling.

DukeNasty2020 13 points ago +13 / -0

There alot like Tim pool. liberals that have had there party taken away by commies and they dont have a political home. But slowly they come around to trump. We told them this back in 2010. Anything negative said about obummer was deemed racist so they ignored the warnings. They are really not that smart at all. I find myself yelling at Tim pool videos, he is saying today what patriots said 4 fucking years ago and he is making off with sweet sweet YouTube money.

Speaking of Stalin... there were people in the Gulag that loved him still and wrote letters of apology and were convinced that only some 'mistake' got them in there.

Abused wives will side with their husbands.

From my experience, TDS affects people at a much different level than the Liberal Lie. I have people in my life that have been able to see through the Liberal Lie but they can’t shake the TDS. These poor people, stuck in political purgatory, don’t seem to be able to evolve passed the point of being partially based. Some may eventually vote for Trump; some will delude themselves into believing Biden is “ok” and it will just somehow work out. It’s tragic.

6
Zude 6 points ago +6 / -0

Also unfortunately Sean Lennon has made some semi-orange man bad statements. I don’t think his heart is really in it, but if you’re in a deep blue city, and surrounded by the expected types, it would be like announcing you really admired Hitler. It’s hard to get the mind to break through that TDS layer.

52
Lla26 [S] 52 points ago +53 / -1

A reply in Sean’s twitter thread:

“I have said, to people close in RL, that today would be the Stasi's dream.

If they only knew that people would help surveil themselves. They only had to make it fun (not draconian.)

I say "they only had to invent Candy Crush" and people would gladly carry tiny monitors.”

35
Lla26 [S] 35 points ago +35 / -0

In fact Stalin’s propaganda machine was relatively weak by comparison. Imagine if he had had control of social media technology, how would things have turned out then? What would our understanding of that history be today? It’s scary to think about.

32
Jutts 32 points ago +35 / -3

My theory is that it has to be an Intelligence Quotient thing. The lower the IQ, the easier the manipulation. Let us do the math, then. If one believes the media propaganda, then there is a good chance that they are deficient in IQ. Easy!

32
Lla26 [S] 32 points ago +32 / -0

I wish it was that easy, but I know too many people who are smart who buy into the propaganda media. I think it’s because they just want to believe the propaganda, because it’s socially acceptable in their circles to not like Trump and because they truly don’t like Trump’s speaking style, or his past persona (reality show celebrity, etc.)They refuse to accept him.

21
bangbus 21 points ago +21 / -0

Yep. The propaganda tactics are purely socialization based. They want to shame and ridicule anyone who doesn’t comport.

At the end of the day if the Dems’ only agenda was to push 10% higher taxes and create a bigger welfare state, I would disagree but wouldn’t be concerned about the future implications for the West. But this agenda goes way beyond that.

10
Zude 10 points ago +10 / -0

Let’s separate for a second the concepts of intelligence and independence of thought. There’s research to suggest that “more intelligent” people ARE more resistant to groupthink. But of course there’s different kinds of intelligence, many of which we don’t really have names for. You can be book smart as hell but have very little capacity for independence of thought. I think there are other forms of intelligence that tend to travel together with independence of thought, but I also think it involves something more along the lines of character or having values (“no, what they’re saying is wrong, and no matter how much shit I get, I’m not going to say it’s right.”).

13
rentfREEEE_since2016 13 points ago +13 / -0

There’s another hypothesis too: if you’ve believed the media worldview your entire life, accepting The red pill requires that you rethink EVERY point of what you previously believed, because it’s not just one media lie. It’s ALL lies. That’s and I think a lot of people aren’t prepared to believe that literally every branch of government. Every media outlet. Every school institution, every element of the deep state has been lying to them.

I’ve talked to people who were like “well if you’re saying X that would mean Y and Z too. There’s no way that’s possible. “

Yes! Yes there is and the sooner you realize that the sooner you see through all the BS. I think it’s too much for them to handle.

7
MichelleObamasBulge 7 points ago +7 / -0

Yah, it takes a lot of work to become informed about a passing understanding of the extent of corruption in our institutions, the underlying agendas they’re serving, the social engineering they utilize, etc.

If you LIKE pursuing the truth then it’s a lot easier. If you don’t care one way or the other then it’s just a lot of work and it can be hard to convince someone to take that upon themselves. Every try to get someone to read a book? It’s like that times a hundred

This is why whenever I see someone ask some prominent politician or activist “what we can do, as average people, to help out?” I always tell them be informed and be prepared to explain this information to others in a way that is easy to digest. Slipping someone a red pill is the first step to waking them up and that takes a combination of opportunity, surgical precision, and a spoonful of sugar to help it go down. You won’t get through to anyone if you sound like a crazy person who has a garage filled with pictures of unrelated people with a web of yarn and pushpins connecting them all

3
ElderPedeMAGAmiaower 3 points ago +3 / -0

....but I'm so tired of having to spoon sugar into these enablers. I am tired of my liberal friends telling me that most democrats are "moderates" which is a lie.

3
Lla26 [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

You're exactly right!

8
Jutts 8 points ago +8 / -0

Covfefe

6
MichelleObamasBulge 6 points ago +6 / -0

Some of them are cowards who are afraid to rock to boat or ruffle feathers. They want to keep their job in a corrupt institution. They don’t want to have to keep themselves informed enough to defend against the left’s constantly-evolving smear tactics. They just want to make money and consume media until they die

Others may be intelligent, but they’re far from wise. They can memorize stats or procedures and perform analytical solutions on things, but they wholly lack the ability to analyze people, their motivations, psychology, morality, etc. They would be very bad at predicting the future because they can’t see the big picture and they only know what they learned in a book (sound like the left to you?)

Basically, take the scene from Good Will Hunting where Robin Williams gives his “You’re just a kid” monologue to Matt Damon. That scene is wisdom and experience trying to talk sense to raw intelligence. That’s what you’re up against when you try to get through to smart people with TDS. They’re not wise enough to see the big picture but they’re smart enough to rationalize their ignorance

Yep. don't ever underestimate your enemy. Leftists are well organized and ruthless. The Left doesn't care if they lie, they cheat, steal. What's the expression they use? .......by any means necessary. That is Leninism.

Meanwhile, conservatives still think they can fight back by staying polite and playing by the rules. How's that working?

good point. I love rock music of all kinds and I've been known to go to hard rock forums where I've reminded the nice folks there that the Democratic Party/Left is aligned with the most powerful corporations in the world and the richest and wealthiest Hollywood elite and ruling world class. Tell me again which side is the side of the resistance? The side which cozies up to the ruling class which wants to crush working America OR the side of Trump, who doesn't want to send our troops to ridiculous wars, who wants to bring our jobs home from China, and who loves our country and constitution?

Rejecting mommy's bullshit

I hope Hunter Biden can join them

And he can stop smoking crack...

Check them out if you get the chance. They do AMAZING covers of King Crimson and Pink Floyd. Only live band I've seen to do those covers justice. But be warned, they have a rehearsed setlist that doesn't rotate.
