Everyone has hardships and losses in their family. I too lost a sibling too young. I am not without sympathy for the Bidens tragedies, but I am without sympathy for the continued drug use and certainly for any illegal conduct. What’s more, the Presidency is not a charity and the Oval Office can not be a rehab center/ halfway house. The President must be above this behavior and uncompromised. The focus must be on America’s needs and security not the first family’s. President Trump suffered tragedies too, lost one brother young and now just another brother, while saving America from a pandemic and financial collapse. If the Bidens are so overcome with their tragedies, they are best not saddled with the enormous responsibility of the White House.
Hunter isn't running for office anyway so I don't think the NYpost painting him in this light means much of anything regarding the election on its own.
NYpost said originally that over the next 5 days they would be telling a story (not clear of business days, or if 'next 5' meant six in total or counted the first release as day one.) so if Hunter is being shown in this light mid story it just makes me wonder what the next part of the story is. Seems unlikely that the story is some effort to show Joe in a positive light in the end.
Clearly after two days of negatives they don't care about giving the Biden's a positive image but this shows Hunter as a troubled man (and hints at him not having money despite his large income...)
Wild speculation but a powerful, abusive and controlling father could lead to this pretty easily.

Hunter was most likely abused as a kid. His constant self abuse raises all sorts of red flags.
