The whole night was just a bunch of memorized stories that he has been using for decades on campaign trails to try and win people over. For this answer, Stephanopolous had to get him to shut up because he was so far off from answering the question that the audience was completely lost.
Side note: Joe made the same “don’t jump” joke right before this that we have seen him make 3 times now. That’s exactly what every dementia patient does. Make the same joke over and over again thinking it was the funniest shit in the world when we had all heard it before.

Right, but a good teacher will also work more than 8 hours as they grade papers well into the night and weekends, edit their curriculum on their off time, often buy their own classroom supplies, and worst of all, deal with parents.
And if they're a coach of team like Football, basketball, etc., they regularly put in 12+ hour days. The Athletic Director of the local school here (I'm the sportswriter for the local paper) regularly puts in 14 hour days, plus Saturdays for tournaments, etc.
Most people don't begrudge teachers getting paid well--it's their commie union-goon bullshit that's the problem.

The problem is that in some areas, teachers get 50k plus to start. 20 years later, they're making 65k if they're lucky (probably not in union controlled states/cities-- but in Texas and a lot of other states, that's how teachers are paid). There are not many jwhite collar obs where you start out at 50k and 20 years later you're only making 15k a year more-- but that's the choice teachers make. Just like it's your choice not to be a teacher eventhough, apparently you think it's easy.
The market should dictate the salary. Why aren't teachers worth $150K a year? Why not $1M? We can all make arbitrary numbers, but supply and demand work out a proper salary commensurate with perceived value (barring union interference).
Just because a job is not easy doesn’t mean you should be paid a 6 figure salary. Plenty of really hard jobs out there making less than 100k with no time off.
Don't forget the job security and lifetime pension/healthcare.
