What do you mean, evidence is coming out? The evidence has been there for months. The states with the most draconian lockdowns have done worse than everyone else. NY and NJ have an infection fatality rate over 3x the nationwide median IFR, and a per capita death rate over 4x the nationwide median. The rest of the northeast is up there as well (just not quite as bad), and Whitmer is sitting at 6th worst state in terms of IFR and 7th worst in terms of death per capita.
Maybe its not quite enough to conclusive say the lockdowns made things worse (though I think it at a minimum strongly warrants a full investigation into that possibility), but it is definitely enough to say they did nothing but artificially destroy economies and hurt people economically, mentally, physically and socially.
You want to do something start by offering the BCG vaccine. It's been around for 100 years and given to millions of people, mass immunization projects make a singe dose cost 25 cents, and is used to prevent TB but apparently activates the immune system and may help reduce covid severity or prevent someone from getting it (science is still out on it).
Eastern half of Germany (former communist East Germany) where BCG was given has seen significantly less covid cases than in western half of Germany (former West Germany) which did regularly give BCG vaccine.
