Oh my God! Do they require the patients to watch the procedures and recovery pics before signing off on it? Visuals of complications? Do they understand that it's IRREVERSIBLE? How can this not be seen as mental illness. It feels similar to the folks that believe they should be an amputee.

I didn't pierce my tongue as a teenager because of the fear of the worst possible scenario. How could they look at worst-case and say, "Yep, let's do this." Even looking at best-case scenario: You are left with horrible pain and scars for something that will never function like the real deal and barely passes for looking like it, plus the hair growing inside.

This is sad, scary, and gross!
