Hodgkins is very treatable depending on the staging. Worst case scenario is an 80% survival rate of 5 years. The 10 year survival is 75%.
Whilst I wouldn't like those odds, they are relatively good odds when talking about cancer. 3/4 chance Dan is still around in 2030 talking about Trump Jr as president.

My dad died of Hodgkins lymphoma back in 1964, before there were any treatments. It was a long, slow, agonizing death. But now the chemo is highly successful. A guy I worked with was diagnosed, given the extended chemo, and a year later was cancer-free.
