I was riding one of these on some "chat piles" as we call them (abandoned mining areas with mountains of tailings) and was really cruising around a banked turn when I found myself going over the top of the berm. I remember thinking "I wonder what's on the other side?" Turns out, nothing other than a 40-foot shear drop-off. I landed it on all three wheels nice and pancake-like. Bent the rear axle so bad we had to drag it to the pickups. My friend was not happy with me, it was his three-wheeler. I also bent the axle on it again when I clipped a tree with the left handlebar, turning me right into it at speed. Again, not happy with me. Both times he got it straightened out without having to totally replace it, even though I offered both times.
