You are partially right. He did say that Islam would be preferable to Christianity because it would make the German people more warlike. His actual religious ideas were Hindu. He basically wanted to revive German paganism using Hinduism as a model. There's ironically a huge overlap between Nazism and Environmentalism. Both worship Kali, the goddess of purity and destruction, who comes at the end of days to cleanse the world in fire.
