It's a long story but a very simple version is that when 9/11 happened people blamed Muslims and I didn't really understand why, so I looked a lot deeper in to Islam.

What I found was very ugly and most certainly not a religion from a higher power but clearly man made and designed to control others.

Not an easy thing to leave, Muslims don't like people leaving their cult.

Respect.

Non-Muslims will never know how difficult it is to do what you did.

Islam is partly man made, yes. It is mostly a perversion of Christianity and Talmudic Judaism. But it is satanic, and I think its pretty obvious that a demon possessed Mohammad, or at the very least a demon gave him his "revelations." The bible even warns about what happened with Mohammed.

"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." Galatians 1:8

You should make peace with Islam. I don't tell you this to suggest you return to Islam, rather to warn you that if its anything like Christianity, it has mechanisms built in to psychologically fuck over anyone who leaves, and I'm not just talking social ostracization. All religions have some truth to them, and all religions twist that truth to control believers. Make sure that in rejecting the religion you separate the truth from the control, otherwise you risk replacing one cult with another. I've seen too many Atheists start to suck commie dick to take matters like this lightly.
