Anyone can become obsessed and insane about anything. Many Democrats have become raving lunatics because they went down the Trump Derangement Syndrome black hole of hell and now they are fuming evil every day. They have abandoned their families, ripped apart marriages, broken up friends and communities, all because they have obeyed the media mantra. Sure, there can extremes on every side, but I see far more extremism coming from the Left every single freaking day.
