TV broadcasts 24/7 now. So they don't go off the air at 4 or 5 in the morning anymore. But I miss that too. And after the anthem, there would be a test pattern or snow.
I was just thinking about this the other day. Before cable, when the networks would sign off for the night around midnight or 1:00 a.m. Always signed off with the National Anthem.
