They even had counters running live on CNN and stuff, new articles on the front of /politics every day about it.

Those stupid bastards did this knowing full well that he took questions from the press multiple times a week. They just didn't count it because it wasn't an official press corps meeting. It was unofficial meetings in the lawn.
