People vote in fact for electors, if Biden drops out those electors (if chosen/elected by the state vote) will just vote for another democrat, as those electors tend to be hardcore party members that are toeing the line

Presidents don't have to pass a security clearance check.
I was under the impression they got vetted for security clearance once they became a candidate.
