In the book: The Art of War, Sun Tzu talks about how to win a war against your enemies, not just for armed war, but psychological warfare. This is important as if we understand the Art of War, we won’t just win this election, but every election afterwards. I have some quotes that might help:

1. be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness
2. let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolts
3. the opportunity of defeating the enemy, is presented by the enemy itself
4. the best thing of all is to take an enemy’s country whole and intact; to destroy it is not so good.
5. if you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles
6. security against defeat means defensive tactics (cough cough Clinton), the ability to defeat the enemy means taking the offensive (cough cough trump)
7. In all fighting, the direct method may be used for joining battle, but indirect methods will be needed for securing victory.
