I’ve had Facebook and Twitter account since the day they were Available to the public because it’s part of my job, but because it’s part of my job I could see then what the writing on the wall was and I have stayed away from social media all along, and try to express that to other people and it’s so fascinating now that everyone is sort of on the same page.
I quit my FB in like 2011 when Obama was having little meetings behind closed doors with Zuckerberg. Never really had a serious twitter other than a throwaway account I tried it out with early on and immediately lost interest. I can't believe how much people pour their personal info into these social media companies today. Tik Tok creeps me out
I was at a meet up in Boulder waaay back when and well let’s just say that Jack Dorsey was there too, and he was a nobody and I got on Twitter but I was very suspect about it immediately because it seemed like every foreign government had a Twitter account all of a sudden, including Iran, and it just seemed so contrived and organized... it didn’t seem organic to me so I never trusted it. And it was apparent to me early on how they were going to make money off of it. And FB. it’s always been fascinating to me how people never really understood that.

Great insight.
Instinct, in context. Hypothesis proved. Unfortunately.
