The sad part is in the past both sides of the aisle would be equally VOCALLY outraged. Now the left is too worried about political correctness, identity politics and being an SJW to express the pure anger this should elicit.

Yes, terrible. Murder is bad. We must come together and stop the violence. But we must remember, white people have done beheadings too. - some leftist politician in 2020.
