No. Never did. I have known a few FBI agents who were retired.

I wouldn't recommend them.

My brother in law and his friends want to join the military to eventually work in the CIA or FBI, they're all borderline communist soyboys. I'd have zero faith in want agency if they actually made it in.

Tell him he's a pussy for waiting for the wars to die down before trying to join. Then tell him he'll fit right in with the rest of the DNC's Paramilitary wing (the FBI and CIA).

Have you ever tried talking to kids in their early 20's, it's honestly no different from talking to 10 year olds. Actually there is a difference, they're fully indoctrinated with talking points from tik tok and other social media. They watch communist propaganda all fucking day and don't realize it. I'm 10 years older than him, but it feels like we were raised on different planets.

My step brother is the same way.

I'm 33 and he is 20 something.

We don't relate at all on anything and he is too worried about who he's gonna be able to stick his dick in for the night than what is actually going on in the world.

Ah, to be young and stupid again.

It’s the same with any bureaucracy. Good people go to work there with good intentions. They move up in the “ranks” and get put in positions with more and more responsibilities. The ones that toe the line and drink the koolaid are the only ones allowed to progress past that normal ladder. The upper 30% are all part of the same good ole boy system and all have each other’s back.

NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT. I would always get angry when Hannity would praise the 99% ... When none of these 99% did a damn thing to reveal all this corruption. Their jobs and pensions were more important than their "sacred oath". Get rid of them all and start over with a new alphabet agency.

I have a friend who has since passed away, but when I was living in Washington, DC he was a staunch, to the core Conservative, and we always made fun of Libs. He gets a big job in a government agency and I talked to him a few months later and it’s like they drugged him and brainwashed him and all of a sudden he is spewing out Liberal crap and would get wildly angry when I tried to get him to explain. 14
wisconsheepgirl 14 points ago +14 / -0

The FBI has been corrupt since the beginning. J Edgar Hoover created files on presidents, MLK, any one to blackmail them. For 50 years. It is systemic.

The FBI agents picture from this summer taking a knee in support of BLM, Inc. says alot.

No one came out during the active coup against our vote and our President. Especially with this Hunter Biden laptop--showing that the Ukranian phone call PDJT made was legit and had evidence to support his concern.

No way its just at the top. The fact that Sean Hannity purports that shows he's although not a direct swamp creature--he's been in the swamp air too long.

CIA, FBI in particular should disbanded. Completely. Give all employees no access to any other federal, state, lobbying, and now--no media jobs. Let them learn farming. I dont want them around any computer programming.

6
TypicalEd 6 points ago +6 / -0

You have an intel organization that can gather intel on politicians. Why not just blackmail those politicians and force them to increase your salaries? That's how the FBI and CIA have been doing it for a long time.

It was a mistake to make these kind of organizations. They're the type of places the psychos love.

2
BranchCovidian 2 points ago +8 / -6

Yep. Another huge problem is that Comey connected the FBI to the Globalist ADL so the ADL could brainwash FBI agents against conservatives and """"White Supremacists""" (aka peaceful White people that don't want to go extinct and want control over their own government, instead of the Deep State running it).

Corrupt Comey wrote a cucky "love letter" (his words) to his Globalist puppetmasters at ADL.

ADL is also deeply involved in organizing AI-based censorship on social media, and is basically a mafia organization (it's honored members of the mafia).

2
Wess-mantooth 2 points ago +2 / -0

I had a neighbor who was FBI growing up in NY, he was an organized crime guy (read, mafia investigator). He was very based, helped me a lot after i got out of the army in 09. He is absolutely gutted over this, retired a while ago, but it really damaged his image of who he was/is as a person.

Sorry, but I have to disagree. 99 is to high, but as I’ve said before it’s comfortably 80-75%. I say this because I know many rank and file who are supposedly not bad but they’re walking around with their “Comey’s homies” mugs. If after all this you still love Comey (he’s wildly popular at the FBI, only met one agent who doesn’t like him) then you’re a real POS.

33
IndelibleHippocampus 33 points ago +34 / -1

It's funny how when the incentive inherant in a free market is removed sloth and corruption creep in.

Taxation that pays for government is the opposite of a free market. Recipients of taxpayer funds lose sight of the accountability and need to optimally perform that you'll find in any free market activity such as a hotelier or computer repair shop.

19
xbeefystux 19 points ago +20 / -1

Well stated, I wish more people understood this and how we have gone astray. Everyone is freaking out about big tech being more powerful than our government. Of course they are they have been allowed to become super monopolies that no longer have to compete in the free market. Why do our public schools suck and cost so much? Because they don't have to compete in the free market

13
tholins 13 points ago +13 / -0

Very true. Money becomes an abstract concept to federal employees. And when money isn’t a motivating factor anymore, guess what fills the void? Internal politics.

There is one major problem with government employment/employees.

Lack of accountability.

It manifests in multiple ways.

All government jobs are focused on spending taxpayer money. Not a single government job produces value like jobs have to in the private sector. Everyone in private sector, from the kid blending your smoothie at Jamba Juice to the CEO of Disney, is required at some level to earn their paycheck. They get money, and in return, they’re expected to make money for the company. This just does not exist for federal employees. There is no link between your productivity and your paycheck. You get paid based on a pay scale and not on performance. Nobody can make any more than anybody else, except through politicking to move up through the pay scale ranks. This attracts a certain type of person, and repels others.

Second, thanks to unions and convoluted hiring laws, you can’t fire people. For ANYTHING. I had a GS-9 one time who got caught smoking crack. Turned out he’d done it multiple times on shift or just before. Well, the local union rep was actively working with me to fire this guy, and it still took me six months to get him out of my office, and another six to officially get him off the books so I could fill the position with somebody who, you know, wouldn’t do drugs.

I could talk for hours about this.

6

I'm going out to work on a job today outside. Cold and miserable. Because boss says it's mandatory? No. I'm the boss, I love money, and there is only so much time in a year to make it. Motivated.

Wife works for government now after 30+ years in the private sector. Stress and worry free. Relaxing till retirement.

2
Rufus_Shinra 2 points ago +2 / -0

Can do confirm, gov workers are the laziest in the country. To be fair, I'm sure plenty of people get hired into gov positions who are motivated and would be good employees, but management and the whole system is apathetic and simply doesn't care, and why would they when they are funded by taxpayers? They don't have to make a profit and their is no risk of being shut down.

I worked with a woman in the gov who I shared an office with and she use to knit half of the day. Scarfs, mittens, blankets, she had a while drawer deducted to knitting supplies. She said she would do work if she had any, but sometimes most of her day was just sitting around. Such abhorrent inefficiency and it's the fault of the leadership.

The FBI must be reformed not with a scalpel, but with a hammer. A big fucking hammer:

  1. Fire the top 1/3 to top 1/2 of FBI leadership including Wray.

  2. Take the pieces that actually function as intended and create new, smaller agencies around them. Discard the rest, including the Washington headquarters and field offices.

  3. Ban what's left from having any permanent location within 100 miles of the capital. Turn the FBI HQ in DC into a museum depicting the horrors of state police throughout history and around the world. KGB, Stasi, Gestapo, FBI, etc. It's within walking distance of some great Smithsonian museums - perfect.

Smash them to pieces, collect the good parts, and throw away the rest.

Ragnar_Danneskjold 32 points ago +32 / -0

Roughly 10% of any group of humans being are going to be shit bags, and another 10% are going to be possible shitbags, meaning they will do shitty things if there aren't mechanisms in place to prevent it but if there are, they will abide by those mechanisms and not be shitty. This is for literally any group of human beings anywhere doing anything. So no, even under the best circumstances it was never going to be 99% being great. 80-90% is best case scenario. Given that the corrupt tend to always have a little easier time finding ways to weasel their way into the top of any organization that doesn't work tirelessly to remove them, once the corrupt are in charge, they tend to attract like minded shitbags and the amount of shitbags will rise considerably above the bare minimum of 10% and even past the 20% including the occasional/possible shitbags. The FBI has about 35,000 employees. I would not be shocked in the slightest if at least half of those were outright deep state Leftist zealots, as most field offices are in big cities and the FBI tends to draw its applicants from universities instead of seasoned street cops and detectives. Overall I would guess the FBI is probably about 20-30% good people, another 20% just indifferent time punchers doing the bare minimum to get paid, and the other half are Leftist radicals.

The mask is off. We now see them for what they always have been. I have 100% faith they are completely corrupt and can not be rehabilitated.

ravonaf 18 points ago +18 / -0

I don't buy it. When this corruption goes on where are the good FBI people? If they were good they would do something. Best case scenario we have evil running the FBI and "good" people who are too afraid to do anything. I want my Federal LE to be brave and unafraid to face evil. That's why this organization exists. To Federally protect the American people by enforcing law. Not hide under their desks. Fuck them all.

ZacPetkanas 14 points ago +15 / -1

What did the agents do when they became aware of a bullshit, politically motivated, "investigation" into the president-elect? Did they go to GOP ranking members of the Congressional committees? Did they anonymously leak the info to Trump's team or to a sympathetic press?

No. They took out professional liability insurance to cover their asses if their malfeasance was ever uncovered.

Fuck all the lives ruined over false allegations and investigations, right FBI "rank and file?"

I spit on the FBI

Interesting thing about professional liability insurance...insurers have clauses that nullify policies in the event that criminal conduct was the cause of a claim. 🤔

Used to be a cool thing to say you were an FBI agent. The best of the best? Not anymore.

The entire federal employee 'union' needs to be trashed. It is a Dem slush fund. Federal employment has become more of a welfare program that overpays incompetence. Federal employees are awarded promotions/pay raises for just breathing and taking a paycheck twice a MONTH. Federal agencies no longer care about hiring the best and brightest.

There needs to be a federal employment freeze along with a culling of the federal herd. No more automatic pay raises and promotions just for time served. Pay scales should be based on skills (what you bring to the table) not just being a federal hire. on Incompetence and bad behavior should be rewarded with a pink slip in a timely fashion. Retirement has seen some reform, but more should be done. No retirement income should be received until a minimum of 62 years of age unless there is a serious medical exception. No more federal double dipping.

The longer the FBI cavorts with our enemies, the more they make the Executive Branch look bad. Just shut it down.

Imagine being proud to go to work everyday in the J Edgar Hoover building. Chris Farrell is right the duties of the FBI should be subsumed by the USMS.

I think he is. I don’t think he has any intention of reforming them.

The FBI is corrupt, I seen a video of an antifa member saying the FBI is on their side to a group of people. Edit: I been trying to find the video for like half an hour, maybe youtube scrubbed it?

6
Wtf_socialismreally 6 points ago +6 / -0

Not to give the FBI any benefit of the doubt, but AntiFA says a lot of things and we can't take stuff at face value from a random thug.

Anyone find it suspicious that the FBI arrested Bannon 2 months ago after he stated he had the hard drives?

Now that it’s clear they’re hired muscle for the corrupt politicians? No.

if the FBI were Mostly good.. I think we would of heard allot more whistle blowers sounding the alarms. To many evil men have been placed in positions of control at the FBI. The whole place should be shut down and restarted with hand picked patriots

I got a buddy who is ex-FBI. Ranks an file. He's a good dude. But he also wrote a book on how shitty the FBI is and the reasons why we got the fuck out of there because he is a good dude. And he's been gone 20+ years.

We are being way too optimistic.

However, one thing I learned is how useless most of the federal government is, and the executive branch is so corrupted, so huge, so overweight with beaurocracy. Think about how many positions exist just for a lifelong paycheck and pension and the employees for whatever division, department, or agency literally do nothing and collect 6-figure salaries, for life. With free healthcare and everything else. We're talking millions of jobs, held by unqualified people, in positions that aren't even needed and serve zero purpose.

We could eliminate 75% of these jobs tomorrow and eliminate the vast majority of these agencies and almost no Americans would even notice...it would have no impact on our day to day lives. Name the agency, that I just said applies.

The FBI is no different. There are of course some stellar men and women working in the FBI, who make a difference in their ideals and in their work. But like every other executive entity, it's overgrown, it collapses under it's own corruption. Wray, Comey, and the lot of them prove the leadership is criminal, without question. So while there are some good people working for the FBI, just it's very leadership and it's an overall structure within the executive branch proves that the good is few and far between.

Drain the Swamp, TRUMP 2020, Remove Every Democrat.

2
TurdFerguson 2 points ago +2 / -0

They definitely got too big and stopped being accountable to the people. I agree they should be completely overhauled and broken up into smaller agencies.

6
sn01no 6 points ago +6 / -0

the swamp is deep and murky. The day after the election Wray needs to go.

6
jjacksonRIAB 6 points ago +6 / -0

They knew Trump was making a legitimate request to investigate Biden's Ukrainian dealings and they stood by concealing exculpatory evidence while he was impeached. It appears all they're good at is covering up the crimes of prominent democrats by gathering evidence and sending it into the memoryhole.

FUCK THE FBI

journalist 5 points ago +7 / -2

I would say truthfully it’s 79% good people...the rest of the bureau is a bunch of shitbags

5
Anonimouse 5 points ago +5 / -0

Similar to "bad cops". If none are getting rid of the bad ones, can we write-off the rest as bad?

6
Ragnar_Danneskjold 6 points ago +6 / -0

Well there is a key difference in that the FBI actually is one big organization that all works for the same people, has the same rule book, trains in the same place, can move anywhere in the organization, etc. There actually might be a way for the few good ones to do something about the bad ones since they do actually work together.

Police departments are entirely separate and independent. A cop in Florida has absolutely nothing to do with one in Seattle. A Sheriff's deputy in Texas has absolutely nothing to do with one in LA. There is no mechanism for anyone outside of one particular department to do anything about any police officer in literally any of the other 18,000 police departments in the country. None. So you can apply that "the good ones should do something" principle to officers within the same department, such as the corrupt and awful Broward County Sheriff's Office in Florida. But the problem is that once a department goes rotten, it's pretty likely the rot is from the top down, if there are any good ones they tend to quit and go work somewhere else, or they're isolated by their shitty colleagues and kept in the dark or relegated to positions where they can't see anything or do anything.

An FBI agent in Nebraska might be able to try to get assigned to the OPR and try to root out shitbags in New York (good luck with that though given how corrupt FBI leadership in Washington is). But a police officer in Nebraska has absolutely nothing to do with any police in New York at all.

One might call it systemic corruption

5
NautiFella 5 points ago +5 / -0

I've know better since the 70s.

We had a priest that was FBI during the war. When he tried to leave and return to the seminary to get ordained; Hoover threaten to hang him for treason for leaving. He told me there was only two ways out of the bureau....under hoover's thumb or ruined. Once he was out the Church protected him.

When a priest you respect tells you that an organization is shit all the way to its core, it carries some weight.

I've seen nothing to prove him wrong yet.

5
Wtf_socialismreally 5 points ago +6 / -1

I certainly had a skeptical attitude before. More and more that has changed to a flat "no".

It always rang a little hollow when someone says "other than the rank and file" when we never have any leaks about the FBI for anything that could help the right and the country.

It always came across as, "oh no FBI agents A, B and C, I'm not talking about you, I'm talking about certain other people, please don't make my life hell"

5
Trump-Train 5 points ago +5 / -0

John F. Kennedy was right. The entire deep state intelligence apparatus needs to be destroyed and the pieces scattered to the wind

5
IAMLooter 5 points ago +5 / -0

OP is spot on with this analysis. They're profoundly corrupt and this level of corruption goes so much deeper than just the political appointee level. I have no idea how deep it goes, but it's deep.

5

The FBI is just a cog no matter how big shit they think they are. Just another tool to be used and discarded by their masters.

Never forget that people will do what they are in, in fact, rewarded/compensated to do. A cop sees the world through arrests. The FBI/DOJ sees the world through grand juries and indictments. Lawyers see their world through convictions/acquittals.

The problem is when rules are broken and the checks and balances of the system go askew.

I went through a local citizens academy with our local police department a few years ago. One of the presentations was an FBI agent from the local field office. She would barely answer any questions. Her vibe came off as someone who couldn’t be bothered with. Very unapproachable. It was a very stark contrast with the local cops.
