Debate was the best socialization class I ever had. Teach your children to debate, being able to argue the Pros and Cons of any subject like in cross examination or on philosophical grounds as in Lincoln Douglass really helps expose them to a huge number of real world issues in history or currently. I took AP Classes on History and Government that were a joke compared to going up against a private school kid who's parents have spent more on their yearly education than my parents probably made in 10 years.
