I've had a particular penchant for history my whole life. My history teachers hated having me in their classes because I was always curious about the minutiae. And they only knew what was in the text book.

Unfortunately, college taught the party swap in American history and I didn't know enough about that at the time to question it.

Students like you are my absolute favorites. I love swapping book recommendations with interested kids. I've learned a lot from them!

American history was my favorite. True heroes fighting for real freedom. My first interest in it came from Johnny Tremaine.

As for book recommendations, I can only ever recommend Starship Troopers. That book changed my life. It's nothing like the film.

Had a Science teacher who was also our wrestling coach. He had no business teaching science and I borrowed his Quantum Physics book he kept on a bookshelf in class and he was at least honest when I came back to ask questions that he had no clue and hadn't read the book.
