Zoning laws also outlaw jobs where they live. They are then stacked to secure voting districts.
Dr. Sowell worked for the feds new deal welfare program under LBJ. Those people in those institutions will lose their jobs if there are no more poor people. They had 50 years and $22 Trillion and what are the results?
Higher illegitimacy around 15% (Less than whites before in the 30's) to now 75%
Higher crime
Higher unemployment
Widening education gaps that had been closed by black or Chinese only schools in America that outperformed the average white school and IQ. Those schools were closed for integration which was never necessary to begin with and, hasnt yeilded anything but, tired kids bussed around
Zoning is a NIGHTMARE... I work in business formation - and opening new stores... and our Zoning Board has destroyed more businesses then I could count.
The barrier to entry is 'a lawsuit against the township' to open up a doggie day care or and internet cafe. No one can do it. They are forced into territory that they can not afford - or that breaks the business model... and I would say this happens 80% of the time or even more.

It's more Muskegon Heights. Muskegon is a nice place otherwise. I really loved the state park and trails.
Muskegon is more of a halfway point for the people in the north country, Northern Kent Co., GR, and Ottawa county to all have a shot at making it.
