I'm so conflicted because he still votes correct, but he's a freaking backstabbing weasel.
I'll be throwing a lot of money to getting him out in the next primary, but will reluctantly vote for him in the general because he's still better than a D in the Senate.
I’m in the same boat, have to vote for him because he votes correct but I hate the man. He’s a power hungry asshole that thought Trump would lose in ‘16 and he’d score points with the RINOs being a never Trumper. Had a friend go to DC to lobby for the pork industry and tried to meet with Sasse and he said I can’t because I have a meeting. Then 15 minutes later my friend saw Sasse in the hallway. There was no meeting he lied.
You both have no choice but to hold your nose and vote for Mini Sasse. BUT - as Nebraska residents, you have a lot of power to call this traitor’s office and tell him how disgusted and disappointed you are with his two faced behavior and ... you and your families were all ready to vote for him on November 3rd, but now you’re seriously considering writing in the candidate (Innes?) who more closely aligns with your Republican ideals of honor and integrity. Ask them to convince you otherwise snd say you just don’t know if you can trust Sasse now that it’s come to light that he is a never Trumper who doesn’t support our President. They will get them off their asses quick.
Yes, I’ll take the blame, I didn’t do anything in the primary. But as a historian, split votes don’t work. The Republican control of the 1920s had a lot to do with the Dems split vote. The KKK vs the catholic immigrants. Hell the KKK campaigned against Al Smith. Unlike Alaska with that dumb bitch Murkowski who got elected with a write in, Nebraska metro areas have too many cucks for a write in.
