Your point is certainly valid, but who are we to judge. I only know that the people who felt they were in wrong bodies were sincere and suffering. Are they nuts, maybe, but that is not for me to say. As for sports, I think reality has to rule, if you have a man's body to start with no matter the alterations, you belong in a race that truly tests your abilities.
Personally I'm cool with addressing trans people according to their preference, by way of educated politeness. I was not raised to be a nasty person and they have enough problems already.
I don't agree with their plight being used as a pseudoscientific argument made by psychologists, not biologists, that gender doesn't exist or that sexual dimorphism in humans doesn't exist.
I have met a few, they genuinely feel they are not their original gender, it may not be normal but it is real.
Nobody is doubting people with other mental illnesses either.
We don't start pretending that the voices in a schizo's head are real, don't we?
