I saw a B52 fly over my house a few months back, maybe around 1000 feet, headed for a flyby for some VIPs or something at a nearby AF base. They came around another time for seconds then they headed out. I was giddy like Gen. “Buck” Turgidson.
I lived next to an airfield with a functional plane museum on site for years. My brain was good enough to filter out the commuter jets but perk up to the sound of the older warbirds. Their flight path for the ride alongs would take them right in front of my house, I loooooved it.
And I really thought they would only restart it on Monday!
