That is definitely the messaging the MSM is putting out there: the NYP is a “tabloid.” I’ve lived in NYC my entire life. I’ve only heard of the NYP referred to as a tabloid in the last week. This has happened on multiple sites and local news stations.
The NYP is one of two major local papers in NYC. The other is the Daily News. I don’t count the NYT because it’s national (and specializes in writing dem fan fiction.)
