I've experienced it first hand and have been standing next to the person and showed them I sent a text with .win and one without. .win was blocked every time
I've had the issue with a friend of mine. He uses Mint as his service provider (they use Tmobile network). A lot of the times i hear about this the one not receiving messages uses tmobile.
I heard T Mobile was censoring the link.
I don't send links to be on the safe side -- I spell it out with spaces to avoid it.
So it might depend on the carrier, not the phone manufacturer
I've seen people mention it before but haven't experienced it first-hand myself.
So it does happen but it's hard to say what platforms or users or what is the common denominator as to why. It seems inconsistent.
Jesse, maybe the feds are onto you. ;) I hear there's a lot of stuff happening at Los Pollos Hermanos.
HA HA! Nice. Username checks out.
Here is a long thread on the same topic. LINK

Gonna use your post a test, gimme a minute
Edit: sent it to an android user, worked for me
You can bet your ass it us but you'll never prove it was malicious
That's why these people get away with EVERYTHING .
Even when they're caught red handed they can still argue reasonable doubt, and argue intent
Good lawyers are good and connected, nobody scared of the doj bud
I just tested this with my Brother. We both use AT&T and have Androids. The link I sent him worked fine.
It could be something trying to block gambling sites. .Win is often associated with sports betting.
Can you try a different SMS messaging app? Most likely culprit. Next most likely is your carrier.
Did the web based texting service still route through your carrier? If so, bingo.
Also, ensure it has the https://
And I'd also try using it as part of a sentence, not just purely the link.
Why are phones stopping you from using gambling sites? That's dumb too.
They shouldn't, but it could be a child proofing app or device seeing that's "trying" to help.
Just sent a link to this thread to a friend via iMessage. It seems to have gone through fine.
