Women did want the right to join the work force after all. It's just that they were so concerned with their own wants, they didn't realize how it would affect everyone as a whole. That doubling the workforce with no correlative doubling of jobs will drive down wages and make it much harder for anyone to find a job. But at least they're like men now, right? Equality!
