What makes you think that? The Podesta e-mails were damning, had headers and everything and the left still ignored what they contained instead focusing on "how they may" have been obtained.
"They were illegally obtained" wasn't an argument that swayed anyone. People mostly tuned out of Hillary... here they can claim they're fake and allow people to just ignore it. They'll eventually release the headers, too. Better sooner than later, is what I'm saying
The headers would go a long way towards engaging a left that is now switched fully to "this is Russian disinformation".
