Unions had a worthwhile place in history. Today, they could still be useful if they agreed to more accountability in exchange for protections and benefits... and if the "bosses" weren't allowed to use everyone's dues for their own politics. But the unions won't agree to change either of these things.

Arguable. The very first union action on this continent was a lynching(followed shortly by a child kidnapping), and they certainly haven't gotten less corrupt since then.

In my opinion unless a job is inherently dangerous to life limb or eyesight, unions should be outlawed. Racketeering is illegal for a reason, labor racketeering should be too.
